Treasure Hunters University
Home
Welcome to the Treasure Hunter's University. The only university dedicated to and for the treasure hunter or huntress, in all of us. The "THU" began as an information and research forum in the "Gold Prospector" magazine. (Jul/Aug 98 to present) To enlighten rock hounds, prospectors, treasure hunters and everyone else, who loves the outdoors, about the amazing monuments, trailmarkers, signs, symbols and "Death Traps", that the Spanish, Indians and Mexicans left for us to see today.

The popularity of the "THU" articles, the publication and sale of Mike's book, has brought about the expansion of this university. As you go through each classroom or sub classroom, you will learn about these long lost informational messages and their interpretations. (What we know about them today)

If you visit any classroom, you must visit the page on "Death Traps". "Oh Yes", these are real. "Every Person" who uses the outdoors, should know about the signs, symbols and how these devices work. This information could save you or your loved ones, from a rather horrible death. "Safety is your first priority"

You cannot get a degree from this university. It is a continuing educational process of research and out in the field investigations. No one person is an expert in any field and no one book is the definitive source for information. There are still too many questions, yet to be answered.

Many of these s/s have multiple and hidden meanings. If we do not understand the many meanings of these cryptic messages, it will be very difficult for us to interpret them. With knowledge of these messages, we will have a better advantage, in finding what was so cleverly concealed.

The interpretation of these coded messages is not an exact science, by any means. Only the people who placed these coded messages, knows the exact meaning. They were not meant to be deciphered easily. They were meant to confuse, distract, befuddle and possibly cause death, to the unwanted searcher.

It is not as easy as some people may think. Treasure hunters could be called non-degreed archaeologist. Searching for the historical past lives and activities of others before us. Getting pieces of information from many sources, building up a profile, to put all the puzzle pieces together, to find what we have been looking for.

The drawn signs and symbols, shown in each classroom, are close enough representations of what may actually be seen, out in the field. These s/s were cut, carved chiseled or chipped into stone or on trees, with crude tools. They may be shown as an outline or be completely filled in.

On maps and documents the s/s will be a more exact drawing/representation of the message to be conveyed.

Research and persistence will lead you to the treasure you seek. Knowledge is a wonderful gift. Use it wisely and you will be rewarded many times over, the cost of that education.

Even though there is no required text here at the THU, you might want to purchase Mike's book. The "Treasure Hunter's Field Notebook", © 2001. 168 pgs. Every purchase helps support the continuing educational efforts, this university brings to its' students.
